Oneida County DOES NOT collect 1st installment or full payment of current year taxes that are due by January 31st to the municipality. If that payment is made to Oneida County we cannot guarantee when or if a check will be sent to the municipality and could compromise a timely payment. Contact the municipality for credit card payments.
2nd installment or Delinquent* tax payments CAN be made through Point and Pay. Payments will be posted after the payment is received by the County. This will take approximately 3 business days.
*Delinquent Taxes that are in foreclosure are not able to use the Point and Pay system for payment. Certified funds are the only acceptable payment for parcels in foreclosure.

Online property tax payments cannot be made to Oneida County from November 21st to February 1st. For current year tax payments see your municipality. Oneida County online payments will be available after February 1st, 2019 for 2nd installment or delinquent taxes.
Point and Pay will charge credit card payments an additional 2.39% on payment amount and eCheck payments an additional $1.50 up to $10,000 and $10 charge for eCheck payments over $10,000.
Payment withdrawn from Oneida County by Point and Pay for unpaid funds will result in tax payment being deleted and a $20 returned payment charge will be issued.

Services & Duties
The County Treasurer is most often thought of as the County’s money manager and tax collector. It should also be noted that the County Treasurer maintains a large body of information that is open and available to the public.
For example, if you want to find out the owner of a particular property; in some cases, the property’s size; its assessed value; its fair market value; the amount of taxes; a volume and page number for further research in the Register of Deeds office; when taxes were paid; who might have paid them; if there are any delinquent taxes – you can find out in the County Treasurer’s Office. And people do – every day – often with just a phone call.
These records are maintained in the office for a period of 15 years. After 15 years, the records are offered to the State Historical Society. Generally speaking, the Society will take the records for the census years only. The Society records are located at the History Center and Archives at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland, Wisconsin.
The duties of the County Treasurer are defined by Wisconsin Statute, and those duties include receiving and receipting all monies from all sources; paying out all monies belonging to the County; keeping accurate financial records, the collection of all postponed and delinquent real estate taxes as well as maintaining accurate records of those collections.
In Oneida County, tax delinquent properties are foreclosed by the In Rem Tax Foreclosure Proceeding, and the County Treasurer has the responsibility for this action. The County Treasurer also complies with all the rules and policies of the County Board.
